Unidades climáticas da Bacia Hidrográfica do Rio das Almas – BHRA – Goiás - GO

Abstract

Mapping the characteristics of the environment is a fundamental tool to better plan intervention actions in space, providing diagnoses and prognoses through human actions thatensure quality of life for the population and ecosystems. In this context, Climate Classifications are important instruments, since it is through them that a range of informationis synthesized and the climate in different parts of the planet is defined. Thus, the general objective of the research was to present and use the proposal of the Climate Classification developed byNovais (2019-2020) to identifythe Climatic Units of the Rio das Almas HydrographicBasin (BHRA), located in the center-west of the state of Goiás. The methodological proposalwas by Novais (2019), uses temperature and precipitation reanalysis data from CHELSA from 1979 to 2013 for divisions and hierarchical definitions of climate in: zone; Zonal Climate;Domain; Subdomains; Type, Subtypes andMesoclimates.The proposal proved to be adequate for understanding the specificity and climatic diversity of the area under study, which presents a Hot Climate Zone, Hot and Torrid Zonal Climate, Tropical and Mild Tropical Climate Domain, Semi-humid and Semi-Dry Subdomains, the Climate Type is Central Brazil, and twenty types of Weather Subtypes. Thus, the proposal shows potential for improvement in regional Climatology studies.
