Valoração econômica ambiental do parque estadual da Serra de Caldas Novas - GO

Abstract

The economic valuation carried out in this research was through the Contingent ValuationMethod that had as object of study the Serra de Caldas Novas State Park - PESCaN, part of theCerrado biome, located between the municipalities of Caldas Novas and Rio Quente, belongingto the mesoregion of Sul Goiano in the Meia Ponte microregion. The methodology used wasthrough the Willingness to Pay (DAP) technique, which applied a sample of 387 questionnairesto people who have already visited the park at least once. ) sessions, being: 6 (six) questionsabout socioeconomic data; 7 (seven) questions about behaviors and attitudes and 6 (six)questions about the user's bio-ecological awareness. The interviewee completed thequestionnaire when he received a link containing an electronic form made with the questionsproduced by google forms, in which he answered based on his perception and preferences relatedto PESCaN. The structure of the work was subdivided into three articles, where the first presentsthe importance of the Serra de Caldas Novas State Park as an important conservation unit forthe Cerrado of Goiás; the second article brings a literature review on the EnvironmentalEconomic Valuation and the Contingent Valuation Method through the main bibliometricindicators and finally; the third article meets the general objective of the research, to carry outthe economic valuation of the Serra de Caldas Novas State Park by the Contingent ValuationMethod applying the Willingness to Pay technique. The average DAP in which each park userwould be willing to pay for the conservation and preservation of the environmental asset wasidentified, considering a hypothetical scenario in which the park could no longer be availableand open to the public, reducing the quality of life and the main , the well-being of the user.Through the observed DAP R$ 11,15, it was possible to value the park for its use value at R$92,188.20 for its use value and economic values if the user attends the park 1 (once) a year R$353,455.00 or R$ 1,413,820.00 at least 4 (four) times a year.
