A relação entre segregação residencial e vulnerabilidade social na população juvenil de Jaraguá (GO)

estrangeira: Residential segregation and social vulnerabilities are the result of inequalities inserted in the capitalist mode of production, which also occurs in smaller cities, that is, small towns. In this research, the definition of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) was used in the context of Jaraguá, State of Goiás, where income is the factor that limits the use of spaces in the city. The purpose of the research was to evaluate the conditions of socioeconomic vulnerability, residential segregation and the perception of young people residing in peripheral neighborhoods of Jaraguá. It is justified by the need to relate the current scenario of the city, marked by inequality and capitalism, to the vulnerable situation of the subject, who is exposed to violence, trafficking, precarious housing and environmental fragility. The research has an interdisciplinary character, with theoretical contribution of the different areas of the human sciences, such as: Geography, Sociology, Psychology, among others. In the course of the research, authors were used who contributed to a deep analysis of the existing relationships within the urban space, as well as the contrasts produced by the agents producing this space. And yet, there was a lack of public infrastructure, leisure and decent housing, where precariousness is observed through the landscape. It was concluded that individuals go through basic needs, since they live where they have conditions, and these neighborhoods are lacking in employment, professional courses, culture, and in fact, increase social and economic vulnerability.
