O legado de Cora Coralina : um estudo da recepção de sua poesia entre alunos do ensino médio

Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the nature of the reception of Cora Coralina's poetry, in a study carried out with students of a public high school in Goiás City - GO. The research was performed in a public school in Goiás city, in two classes a high school 3rd grade, in the morning and evening shift, and was based on a case study with participant observation as a method of investigative approach. This is a qualitative research, in which for the analysis of the data collected, we use subjective principles and the specificities of the object studied. Regarding the theoretical aspects discussed, we have brought up the historical and conceptual dimensions of Reception Theory, some considerations about the appreciation of Cora Coralina's poetry and the dialogue of some studies about the formation of the reader. We evaluated and examined classroom activities involving reading and interpretation of Coraline poetry, with debates, questionnaires, talk wheels, textual productions and reflective readings. In the preliminary stage, it is necessary to point out some verified verifications: notwithstanding the planning and the work of the responsible teacher has brought some pertinent interventions, in the sense of positively changing some distorted perceptions of the students about the value of the poetic art produced by this writer, it is a fact that our schools will only have readers who are aware of the role of literature in transforming the perspective of people's lives through more inclusive actions of educational policies regarding the valorization of local culture and art as fundamental identity instruments in the formation of the citizen.
